The GE 6** series was their first transistor radio offering. In this ad the GE 677 (I have a turquoise GE 678) makes comparisons with the earlier Regency TR-1. Regency’s catchphrase was «See it! Hear it! Get it!». In this ad the radio is held in a vertical position where it looks most like a TR-1 and the catchphrase «Hear it! Heft it! Have it!» is used. C’mon GE, you can do better than ripping off the little guy!
