This chic TED Saint Germain was manufactured in France in 1962 by Technique et Decoration (TED). TED was formed in 1955 and headed by Mr Marcel NieL. Initially TED marketed a number of kitset radios and cabinets for use by other French companies. It was not until 1962 that Technique et Decoration released a radio branded as its own, and it just happens to be this little Saint Germain! Later that year TED amalgamated with Optalix, another of Mr Marcel Niel’s companies. Optalix was started 10 years earlier than TED in 1945. Mr Marcel Niel passed away in 1979 and Optalix manufactured their last radio in 1984.
